Pastor Jeff Nyberg, Ph.D.
We strongly believe God intends for us to worship together each and every Sunday. So we immediately started our Drive-In Worship services when COVID 19 began to threaten our community. Doing so allowed us to keep our church family safe and at the same time honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We now offer three worship options:
# 1 Remain in Your Car Our Drive-In services will run at the same time as a service indoors and will continue to be broadcast on FM 93.1.
#2 Sit in family groups inside with appropriate social distancing. Hand sanitizing station to used by all before entering. No handshaking and maintain 6 foot social distancing at all times.
#3 Sit in family groups outside the church building with appropriate social distancing under the porta cache or in shade under the trees.
If you are unable to attend, we will also live-stream on Facebook: Facebook Live-stream.
Audio of the sermons are on the on the sermon page.
Sermons are also uploaded to our YouTube Page.
Sermon Notes for 7.12.2020
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN EXPRESSING THANKFULNESS FOR OTHERS.
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN CONTINUALLY PRAYING FOR OTHERS.
always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all,
JOY OVERFLOWS FROM A GOSPEL FOCUSED LIFE.
in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN YOU ARE CONFIDENT THAT CHRIST IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN LOVING AND HELPING OTHER PEOPLE.
7For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me. 8For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, 10so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; 11having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN LOOKING FOR THE GOOD.
12Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, 13so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else, 14and that most of the brethren, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear. 15Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; 16the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; 17the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. 18What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
I Corinthians 13:6-7
6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN PRAYING FOR AND LOOKING WITH EXPECTANCY FOR GOD’S DELIVERANCE.
Philippians 1:19, 20a
19for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything,
Joshua 10:12, 13a
12Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel,
“O sun, stand still at Gibeon,
And O moon in the valley of Aijalon.”
13So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.
2 Chronicles 16:9a
For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,
But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.
JOY OVERFLOWS WHEN SEEKING TO EXALT OR GLORIFY CHRIST IN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE.
Philippians 1:20b, 21
20(b)but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
1 Corinthians 6:20
For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
